TIMA will be very active between now and the end of the year. We will be testing a new format of meeting called "Subject Matter Expert" lunches in September. The multiple topic - multiple location meetings are intended to provide more conversations, be more accessible and reward TIMA members. If the format is successful we will build "SME" lunches into the 2012 schedule. If you would like to attend or be a SME presentor, join TIMA today!
Recently, we announced that we’re planning to try out a slightly different format for our TIMA September meeting. Instead of having one lunch meeting, we’re hosting four and they are all taking place at the same time! The reason for the change is simple: we want to cover some topics that we don’t normally get to in our monthly luncheons AND we want to talk about them in a small group setting of only 15 people.
In September TIMA will be introducing a new meeting format and rewarding members at the same time. Members are invited to attend a "Subject Matter Expert" lunch on Wednesday, September 14th from 11:30am to 1:00pm. Lunch is provided and there is no charge for the meeting. What's the catch? You have to pick the location and topic that interests you most and there is a limit of 15 people per session. The four locations have been spread out from downtown Raleigh to downtowm Durham. So check out the schedule and reserve your space now.
Hot fun in the summertime! Join TIMA in a networking social event on Wednesday, June 8th from 6:00 to 8:30pm at The Lincoln Theater. We'll have BBQ from Cooper's, live music from The Chris Hendricks Band and a great chance to network in a casual, laid back atmosphere. The $10 admission will be donated to Band Together so come and have fun and find out about one of the most popular all-volunter concert events in Raleigh.
Look no further than the Triangle for a glimpse of the future of online video. From Digitalsmiths' work making it easier to find the video content we want, to Red Hat's lean approach to producing hundreds of online videos every year, and startup OpenMyVideo's innovation in the video-by-email space or Cisco's continuous rollout of video communication and collaboration technologies like Telepresence and Umi - we have our fair share of online video visionaries.
